However, in early October, Shane Gandy took on a new role within the department, leading to the need to recruit a replacement director for IAM.

The incoming director’s role will involve ensuring that the department’s IAM strategy aligns with its broader cyber and digital strategies. This is crucial in enhancing the department’s overall digital security.

A spokesperson from the Department of Education has confirmed that the recruitment process is currently underway. The selected candidate will work within the Chief Information Security Officer’s (CISO) office, with Damien Mathieson serving as the CISO of the Education Department.
